Since its launch, the Ford Bronco has become one of the most commonly modified vehicles on the planet, for obvious reasons. With modular construction, the sixth-gen Bronco was designed from the get-go to be easy to customize, and both Ford and aftermarket companies are taking advantage by offering a wide array of parts and accessories. That includes a performance calibration for both 2.3-liter EcoBoost I-4 and 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 equipped Broncos that adds quite a bit of power to each. Now, the new Roush Bronco Performance Pac Level 1 has debuted, giving owners yet another option in terms of power upgrades for their rides.
For now, the Roush Bronco Performance Pac Level 1 is only available for V6-powered models, and includes a performance calibration and cold-air intake, which includes a washable, reusable filter that doesn’t need to be oiled. Aside from taking the restrictive air intake out of the equation and improving flow, the filter is also housed in a sealed container with a transparent lid that’s water tight to the point where it doesn’t impact the Bronco’s water fording capabilities.
Running on at least 91-octane pump gas, the Roush Bronco Performance Pac Level 1 adds impressive power to the SUV’s twin-turbocharged V6 – 40 horsepower and 70 pound-feet of torque, in fact, which brings that model’s totals up to a very solid 370 horsepower and 485 pound-feet of torque. Those that want more can also opt to add Roush’s axke-back exhaust system, which figures to unlock some more power and most certainly volume.
Roush’s new Performance Pac for the Bronco retails for $999.99 and is available to purchase now, and it also comes with a limited three-year, 36,000-mile warranty for a little extra peace of mind. Given Roush’s long standing relationship with Ford and it’s attention to detail – this kit was designed using CAD software for a perfect fit – it seems like a pretty enticing addition to the Bronco’s quickly expanding catalog of aftermarket parts and accessories.
